Alot of times I look at something but only see the outside beauty of it i never dig deep inside and see what truly makes it catch my attention. When i go shopping I may buy something because when I first see it I like it but then when it comes to the day that I want to wear it I dont like it no more. The poem made me think that most of the times we all just notice apperances and never look pass it.

Beauty is only skin deep. If you go after someone just because she's beautiful but don't have anything to talk about, it's going to get boring fast. You want to look beyond the surface and see if you can have fun.

The intended effect of this quote is to show the definition of beauty. The author is saying that beauty doesnt mean anything without a good personality . Anybody can have beauty and its easy to find but its not easy finding a personality that matches yours.
