I remember that when the spanish version of stand by me came ouy everyone was listening and singing to eat. This song became my favorite song in tenth grade . I would listen to this song so much that i got my mom singing it as well.

The intended effect in this song is imagery. Their is imagery in the part where it says "if the sky that we look upon should tumble and fall" at first when i read these lyrics i thought about the movie chicken little and the hole scenario of the "sky is falling". What the artist is saying that is that even if the sky is falling and everything is going wrong he wont care just as long as he has someone by his side.
